A quick overview of my background, goals, and what I like working on.
My name is Roushan Raj and I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at GIET University, Gunupur (2022–2026). I enjoy learning by building – from simple web pages to interactive academic projects and AI-powered tools.
I’ve worked with programming languages like Java, Python and C, and I’m exploring data analytics with MySQL, Excel, Power BI, and Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy and Matplotlib. I also have exposure to Git, GitHub, Docker, CI/CD concepts and Linux basics.
My goal is to grow into a strong software / data engineer who can design, build and deploy real-world applications that solve meaningful problems.

Virtual Herbal Garden for AYUSH Practices
AcademicAn interactive platform showcasing medicinal plants used in AYUSH practices. Includes virtual tours, plant information, 3D models, filters and a map to help users explore traditional medicine in a modern digital way.
Fingerprint-Based Blood Group Prediction
Deep LearningThis project presents a non-invasive system for instant ABO/Rh blood group prediction using fingerprint images and deep learning. A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) trained on preprocessed fingerprint images predicts blood groups with high accuracy, eliminating the need for slow and invasive serological tests. The system uses OpenCV and NumPy for image preprocessing, TensorFlow/Keras for model training and prediction, and a Flask-based backend for real-time API communication. A modern web interface built with HTML, Tailwind CSS, and JavaScript displays the results along with bar and pie chart visualizations using Chart.js. The deployed system achieved 93.5% validation accuracy, demonstrating strong potential as a fast, reliable tool for emergency medical screening and early diagnostics.
Desi Converter: All-in-One Document & Media Processing Platform
Full-Stack SaaS DevelopmentDesi Converter is a production-grade SaaS platform for high-performance PDF manipulation and image optimization. Built with a scalable microservices architecture, it leverages a distributed worker model using Redis and BullMQ to handle intensive file operations asynchronously, ensuring a highly responsive user experience. The system features a NestJS backend with Prisma/PostgreSQL, a Next.js 14 frontend with Tailwind CSS, and secure S3-compatible storage using MinIO. Fully containerized with Docker, the project demonstrates enterprise-level engineering focused on scalability, security, and efficient distributed system orchestration.
Personal Finance Dashboard (Power BI)
Data AnalyticsIn this project, I built a Personal Finance Dashboard using Power BI to give individuals a clear, data-driven view of their income, expenses, savings, debt and financial goals. The dashboard helps users track monthly and yearly expenses, analyze income sources, monitor savings and investments, evaluate debt and EMIs, visualize spending patterns and compare budget vs actuals so that financial goals remain measurable and realistic.
